Current Book Project
I’m currently working on a book project tentatively titled, The Revolution Within and Without: Black Art as Worldmaking Cultural News and Call to Aliveness. By analyzing the creative offerings, interviews, and lived experiences of artists such as Alice Walker, Audre Lorde, James Baldwin, and Elizabeth Catlett among others, this project critically examines the embodied spiritual essence of Black art and how it transcends the constraints and function of western news media.
